DevXH v1.0.1 — Packaging Fix Release
#1
Every forge-keeper knows: a gate that only opens on one stone is not yet a gate.

The forge roared again this week — v1.0.1 is out. No new spells, no gameplay
changes: this one is about the doors themselves.

The v1.0.0 binary was built on one machine and unknowingly carried that
machine's libraries with it. On a fresh Ubuntu 26.04 VPS it fell at the threshold:

Code:
libSDL2_image-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file libfmt.so.9: cannot open shared object file

That second one is a library newer Ubuntu no longer ships at all — unfixable on
the VPS, so we fixed the build instead.

v1.0.1 carries its own libraries. libfmt, libsodium, bzip2, and the C++
runtime are bundled inside the binary, and its floor is pinned to Ubuntu
22.04 LTS. What remains is one line:

Code:
sudo apt install libsdl2-2.0-0 libsdl2-image-2.0-0 zlib1g

That's the whole dependency story now. Verified end to end on a clean 26.04
box: binary up, port open, stock client joined, idle Server waiting in town.

Same flags, same port, same guide — grab it in Downloads
or the GitHub release.
Existing gates keep running fine; upgrade when convenient.

The labyrinth has a door that never closes. Now it opens on any stone.
